Anyone going away for Christmas?

I did for the first time last year as I had just lost my dad and my dear friend was alone as she had been widowed a few months before. Neither of us were looking forward to Christmas but made a snap decision and it was lovely. North Norfolk coast, lovely hotel and walks along the beach. Doing it again this year and looking forward to it.

Assuming we can make the booking next week while on summer holidays (we haven’t been able to find time to sit down to do it together recently), we are going to visit my DB and family in Canada.

DP and I are going to a hotel (in Rye) for the first time ever; usually we are at home and have family, lots of cooking etc. I'm being treated for ovarian cancer, should be well over chemo by then and we decided we definitely deserve an indulgent break! I'm really looking forward to it!

I'm hoping to go to Tenerife with DP. It depends on prices really. Neither of us are fussed about Christmas, I'd rather have sun!

We are going on a cruise first time ever on a cruise and with my mum and dad as well. I'm nervous but looking forward to it. We leave 17th and come back 29th dec.

Yes us! We’re going to stay with friends in Australia. We’re going to fully embrace the Australian Christmas, can’t wait!!

Does hospital count? Baby due on 24th December so its going to be a different type of Christmas for us this year.

DH and I are going skiing. It's our silver wedding and the first Xmas we have ever spent alone. This plan has gone down like a lead balloon with our adult DC .

Spain --> UK! I'm looking forward to the cold, the food, the TV, the panto and the lols
