Gifts for a 6 Year Old

As mentioned on another thread I think DD1 will tell me what she would like for her birthday and Christmas but would like to get her a few surprises as well. What went down well with your six year olds?

I'm holding off on a main present for my 6yo as she tends to ask for weird specific stuff - the last 3 years have been a purple pram with 2 handles and no hood, a scooter with green wheels and a green tool kit - so who knows what it'll be this year :o

However, I picked up a few bits from Argos today that i know she'll like - a unicorn onesie for her doll, a DIY charm bracelet set and a Crayola uni-creature colouring set.

What is she into now? My DD is 6 next month and last 3 years it was all LOL's and now it is all Baby Born/Baby Alive. It's quite easy because I am sure she will still be into baby dolls at Christmas so I'm just buying deals as they come up. She ha already said she wants either Baby Alive real as can be or the new Luvabella newborn for Christmas.

My 6yo dd2 loves a secret diary, a Smiggle pencil case with lots of compartments that pop out, lol dolls, Lego friends, glitter art or sand art sets and a magic set (we have the Melissa and Doug set which is great).
