Wooden kitchen reccomendations

DDs main present this year is going to be a wooden kitchen, does anyone have any reccomendations? Its not the type of thing I ever see in a sale anywhere so I know a bargain is not likely!

are you looking for one like this? x

We’ve got the Ikea one, £60. DS LOVES it.

Phillpot12 · 26/06/2019 18:11

Just saw an advert for one on sale at Asda...

Killerqueen2244 · 26/06/2019 19:39

My child loves the kitchen we got from the Great Little Trading Company, they are on the pricey side but they often offer 20%/25% off.

NerosFiddle · 26/06/2019 21:12

Got one In Smyths last year in their sale.

Jencottage · 26/06/2019 21:13

Our DD loved the IKEA one too !

Hayls17 · 26/06/2019 21:20

The Aldi one is great, only cost around £30 I think! They don’t sell it all year round but they are likely to have it back well before Xmas

We have the ikea one & it's been the most played with item in our house. You can get much fancier ones though. I liked the simplicity & size of the ikea one.

IamChipmunk · 28/06/2019 06:31

We have a little tykes one. Its quite big but has huge playability, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave etc!
Had it since ds was 18m old (also am xmas gift!) and has also been played with by dd.
Its still in perfect condition so was a great investment they both still play with it at 5 and 3..

We have the IKEA one and a market stall from lidl... most played toys Smile

pinklemonade84 · 22/07/2019 22:52

We've got the pink one from asda
Dd loves it
Dh didn't love putting it together on Christmas Eve though 🤣

NoWordForFluffy · 23/07/2019 13:53

We had the Melissa and Doug corner kitchen. We've just sold it after 4 years' hard service and it was still in great condition other than a few scuffs.

We had the red vintage kitchen which still looks good after years of play. It has little legs on the bottom which we left off when ds was small and added on as he grew. We also took the catch off the microwave door so that it opened easily without yanking, for safety. . It’s a lovely looking kitchen and gender neutral. We used ikea pots and play food.

I don’t think I paid as much as that link shows, so maybe shop around. On the other hand, price per play was pennies so it’s worth an investment.

We got this one for DD last Christmas www.plumplay.co.uk/peppermint-townhouse.html we paid £60 new from Tesco outlet. It has a dolls house on the other side, so it’s really good value and space saving too. I think there are still some new ones on eBay for around £80

redexpat · 31/07/2019 20:08

Ikea.

debbiewest0 · 08/08/2019 09:40

I’m selling our ikea kitchen for £25 if anyone lives near Middlesex and wants to pm me? It’s pretty much like new if that helps anyone out?

MamaRaisingBoys · 08/08/2019 12:22

I think the ikea kitchen is being discontinued as I’ve just picked up a brand new one in the clearance section of my local store for £45.

There is a new version but it’s smaller and I personally don’t like it as much. If you’re after the older model I’d get to ikea pronto!

AdalindMeisner · 08/08/2019 12:57

As a previous poster we have the little tykes wooden kitchen - got it from Amazon. It's lovely and my daughter plays with it loads but my friend got her dd an Aldi one and actually it's really nice - two big drawers at the base as well to store all the loose paraphernalia which in our house seems to end up everywhere! A fraction of the cost as well.

LouH1981 · 10/08/2019 00:58

We have the Ikea one. I bought it when my son was about 18 months old and he is now 4 and a half and he still loves it. The little extras you can buy are great too. Still in really good working order too.
