Am actually looking for bday inspiration. All budgets as family always ask for ideas too.

The two Exploding Kittens expansion packs and Solo: a Star Wars story on Bluray. He also got an absolute ton of cheese and cured sausages and biscuits and sweets that I think (hope!) will see us through till at least march.

Previous hits have been a record player, a Halo Megabloks set (basically lego but cheaper) and a book about the Anglo Saxons.

Chocolate covered coffee beans, excellent single malt, Tombland by CJ Sanson.

His birthday is next week and I've ordered some ridiculously expensive hiking socks, a new camping sleeping mat and some kayaking vouchers.

@mixedpeel that's cool, I didn't know you could do that!

JiltedJohnsJulie · 02/01/2019 20:35

Me neither Fashionista. I think my DH would love that.

Fashionista101 - I know! I bought something from a real blacksmith at a craft fair a couple of years ago, and he mentioned that he runs day courses. I knew that DP would bloody love a go, and have finally got round to booking him on a course to coincide with A/L.

Here are some of the courses on offer:

Sony SRS-XB10 Compact Portable Speaker With EXTRA BASS. A huge hit. So much so that we are going to buy a few more.

I ' m usually rubbish at buying presents but i did well this year , i bought him a Welsh rugby football hoodie , a flowery Hawian shirt and a Chewbacca sear belt cover which he loves!

RaisinRainbow · 03/01/2019 20:49

DH is very eco-orientated & these gifts went down well: good bottle of hemp oil (culinary, not cbd), bamboo socks, a new spade, voucher for the local pickle/fermented guy ( he is mad on sauerkraut etc), some bonkers expensive Austrian alpine chocolate and then splurge was a really lovely jumper. He was a really great hubby to me through a difficult year.

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger · 03/01/2019 20:50

The Beastie Boys Book

Deminism · 03/01/2019 22:21

@cortex10 love the parking pass - what a brilliant idea!
