New Years Day Parade London 2019

Hello everyone,

Thinking of taking my two children aged 7 and 11 to the New Years Day Parade in London tomorrow. Has anyone been to this before? Do you recommend it? Where is the best place to stand?

I love it - one year when the kids were small we booked grandstand seats but usually we just rock up. If you get there reasonable early it doesn't really matter where you stand. Just be prepared for a lot of standing - it's quite long. Some of the coffee shops will be open so useful to be nearish to one of them for loo breaks and a hot drink. It's really good fun. Picadilly is one of the areas I head to but see what it looks like when you get there.
