Mine (ds6 and dd8) have loved ludo and labyrinth junior.

Would love suggestions for similar so I can look out for them cheaply or in charity shops throughout the year.

Princesspond · 30/12/2018 01:05

8 and 10 yrs game of life has been a big hit. But the long list of rules is hurting my head Confused

Anothermothersusername · 30/12/2018 01:08

My lb is 3.5 years old and he loves the Sneaky Snacky Squirel game. I bought it off Amazon but I’m sure it will be available from other places.

incywincybitofa · 30/12/2018 01:09

Not quite board games but my 2 love
Pass the pigs
Qwirkle
Doble
They also love card games like crazy 8s go fish Uno pairs etc

Anothermothersusername · 30/12/2018 01:09

Oh just noticed your DCs ages I think the Sneaky Snacky Squirel game will be too young for their age range

reluctantbrit · 30/12/2018 03:01

Dobble
Monopoly
UNO
Yhatzee
Sagaland
Café International

I think some are 10 years and older but we found that we could adjust rules in the beginning and then DD would catch up fast with the proper ones.

OnceUponAGiraffe · 30/12/2018 03:16

We’ve been bought Qwirkle and my six year old loves it!

Tiggles · 30/12/2018 08:02

My 10yr old loves pass the pigs and Harry Potter scrabble

SantasBassoon · 30/12/2018 08:08

Catan
Exploding Kittens
A Boggle card game.

SockEatingMonster · 30/12/2018 08:11

8 and 10 yo DC loved Santa’s Rooftop Scramble (from Smyths). I thought it would be gimmicky, but the gameplay is good and even 15yo DSS was requesting it. I think it’s only £12.

Faroutbrussel · 30/12/2018 08:13

We were given monopoly play card game and are really enjoying it so far.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 30/12/2018 08:55

Labyrinth- recommended on here so I bought it for DD for Xmas - we love it!

dontknowwhattodo80 · 30/12/2018 09:24

Code names
Harry Potter cluedo

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 30/12/2018 12:04

Also agree with payday and game of life. Plus monopoly we have the Disney edition and the junior ones.

If you want a silly game highly recommend egged on. Was hilarious, and only £4 from Argos at the moment :)

NoSpend19 · 30/12/2018 12:05

Takenoko. Really good game.

Today we are playing Scotland Yard and tomorrow we are trialling Tsuro

NoSpend19 · 30/12/2018 12:06

Plus they loved unstable unicorns

Andylion · 30/12/2018 18:35

I second Codenames.

poshredrose · 30/12/2018 18:42

Mousetrap is a hit here

AllGoodDogs · 30/12/2018 20:14

10 yo loves Cluedo, Uno & Hotel Tycoon. 6 year old likes Soggy Doggy and the orchard games.

Kerplunk, buckaroo and pop up pirates have also been popular over the years.

PinkOboe · 30/12/2018 20:15

Lurking we’re just getting into board games. So far we like rummikub and uno (though we like ones that can fine to the pub :))

Jowak1 · 30/12/2018 20:20

My kids aged 8 and 11 loved the family edition of Trivial Pursuits this Christmas.

NotAnotherJaffaCake · 30/12/2018 20:22
