What presents/toys were a flop or didn't live up to expectations

I see we already have the successes thread but how about which ones to avoid especially with sales and people buying for birthdays/in advance for next year!

Dd2 wasn't as impressed with the LOL dolls, I don't think they were what she was expecting. 2 balls are still unopened. Glad we didn't go mad on them for her.

The rainbocorn was a bit of a let down, she wasn't impressed. Also overpriced for a fuck ugly teddy!

The wrapple and pomsies have been played with but aren't providing as much fun as her fingerling from last year!

Dd1 pretty much loved everything but she doesn't generally ask for any fad type toys.

My dc loved their rainbocorns (provided by db as I refused). I thought that Poopsie Unicorn Surprise was total tat, but both dds have played with it and the resulting slime. Neither dd was impressed with the party popteenies though.

I was totally foolish and cracked under poopsie slime pressure. They are awful, don't work and am feeling guilty about the pointless landfill.

Baby wow chatty emma. Freaky as fuck. Trying to smuggle her out of the house!!

Our poopsie slime surprise did not work at all, even though we took extra care to follow the instructions, as I'd heard it didn't work. So I basically paid £10 for a poo shaped rubber keyring. The plastic junk packaging on it is shameful.

Homgeek white noise machine is completely silent.

Daughter loves her rainbocorns- she got a unicorn (from us) and a kittycorn (from in laws). The LOL underwraps went well but not the Glitter ball.

My little boy loves his Bendy plush toy.

Unicorn poopsie was a flop. Really rubbish!
Kidkraft large dolls house big hit
Our generation dolls/horses were a hit
Biggest hit was a cuddly sloth!

OpalIridescence · 27/12/2018 20:19

It was the unicorn poopsie that we bought. Did anyone work at all?

CarrieBlu · 27/12/2018 20:20

BeatBo. Annoying piece of plastic crap.

SlumMumBum · 27/12/2018 20:53

Gooey Louie - fun once.

mummyof2boys30 · 29/12/2018 09:23

Texsta robot puppy. We actually brought it back as all it does is walk and bark. We spent hours trying to train it and no luck

Deminism · 30/12/2018 00:57

Those hatching eggs you put in water. I got elf ones as stocking fillers. They feel totally ick when hatched

whereareyousleep · 30/12/2018 23:19

Soggy doggy it's rubbish my ds5 was gutted that you don't even get a tiny bit wet!

blueeyedpie · 31/12/2018 00:05

Kidicom Max - I bought one each for my kids as they wanted a games/messaging device for when they're at their dads but aren't old enough for smartphones.
They are both absolutely awful. Both have faults and are going straight back to Amazon
