Anybody glued Playmobil together before?

Exactly that really!
I have already pushed over 60 flowers and apples back onto trees, and bushes over 50 times since yesterday! Don't even get me started on the carrot tops on all these bloody carrots! Has anybody ever glued anything to do with Playmobil together before..I'm sat holding my Gorilla glue, contemplating whether to do it..I just don't want to ruin it!

I haven't, but it's a not a bad idea for all those fiddly tiny bits that you'd never use separately.

I'd say less is more though, with the glue. You don't want globs of it seeping through the joins and looking messy.

I think playmobil is designed so pieces come off rather than snapping iyswim? I'd be reluctant to the it and end up with something broken.

Have bought a glued playmobil house before, second hand. I can see why they did it. Would reduce the resale value if that bothers you.

RockingAroundTheChristmasTree1 · 26/12/2018 22:25

No doesn't bother me reducing the value.. some stuff I just think don't need to be in tiny parts! I going to go for it..since my first post, I have put all the flowers and built the wheelbarrow's hundreds of times..here I go!

I have a little playmobil pushchair and baby that you have inspired me to glue. I hate anyone playing with it because it gets handed back to me every few seconds (not exaggerating!) to clip back together or reattach the baby's legs.

If you're not bothered about resale value, I would. Use a cocktail stick to put really small dabs of glue on so it doesn't splodge out.

Yes, superglue on a tree and the flowers. Fiddly but worth it

BrokenWing · 28/12/2018 14:33

Never glued before but have sworn at it (in my head) a lot!!

Was glad when ds got bored of it and the little men, horses etc falling over/apart every time the knights castle was even slightly nudged (which was within a year) and it was dusted down and sold on to the next unsuspecting parent (keep the boxes in the loft for selling on!)

I have done it..feeling very smug with myself! I'm looking at the apples and flowers on all the trees and bushes, knowing they are never going to disappear again! No big glue blobs anywhere, you can't tell at all ☺ i am now back in love with Playmobil! Its been a rocky road, but got there in the end! Im now moving on to gluing all the pilots microphone thingys to their helmets 😁

Good work! It sounds very satisfying knowing this is the last time you'll be attaching all those fiddling little pieces together again Grin
