DD is posted off to her dad (back tomorrow for lunch), DP is off with his kids, so I have an evening of peace to make mince pies and drink wine clean the house up and I need my perfect Christmas youtube playlist.
So far I have...
Santa Baby - Gwen Stefani is actually my favourite version, closely trumping Eartha Kitt
Janis singing Oh Lord Won't You Buy Me a Mercedes Benz (keeping up the spirit of consumerism)
Brenda Lee singing Rocking Around the Christmas Tree - for a bit of 50s zip
Frank Sinatra singing Let it Snow - because Frankie
Ella singing Santa Claus is Coming to Town - to keep with the Frankie vibe
River by Joni Mitchell in case we were getting too cheerful
Prince singing 1999 (not exactly a Christmas song, but why not)
Abba singing Happy New Year (almost seasonal and I love a good sentimental Abba song)
Elvis singing Blue Christmas (of course...)

So, what should I add?

A Winters Tale - David Essex. Cheesy and smooth!

I always have Justified and Ancient by the KLF and Tammy Wynette because I got the cassette single in my stocking one year and it makes me smile still. But I think that might be a bit niche... Grin

Last Christmas I gave you my heart. Was it a bloody pumping organ? The very next day you gave it away. That's really horrible because it would be petrified and useless by then.

Next year?

So, I gave you my heart (gore and goo and muscle). You gave it to someone else the next day and you're planning this organ donation for a year later?
