Christmas can be such a difficult and stressful time but what's one thing that you're looking forward to?

I'm looking forward to having 3 whole days off with DH he works in hospitality and I don't get to see him very often.

I'm looking forward to the few days off work, it's been a long few months.

On the day itself what I really look forward to is the dc reaction when they see their gifts. I know it's not all about 'stuff' but their excitement first thing and then the looks of amazement and delight on their faces is just great Smile. At 7 and 9 I doubt we have too many years left of that sheer delight and wonder so we'll get a kick out of it while we still can.

Seeing the kids faces we ve had a horrendous year and I don't think they are expecting much. I ve got everything on their lists plus more. I cried wrapping it all last night as four months ago things were so dark I had no idea where I was going to find the money or the energy to do Christmas. But somehow I ve pulled it off and they have no idea! !!

To not have to work for a whole day.

I have 3 jobs & work pretty much 7 days with a mixture of 12 hour day shifts and 12 hour night shifts. I finish Christmas Eve morning after a night shift then have Christmas Day off.

I’m looking forward to slobbering about all day while dh does everything, the kids enjoy their presents and of course, Christmas telly... CALL THE MIDWIFE OMG, so SO excited about that Grin
