That's a proper win!

Stompythedinosaur · 22/12/2018 14:30

I'd property tell her that it will be impossible to get at such short notice just to see her reaction!

Well done,

Another favourite moment comes when all the shopping and preparation is all done, there is nothing more to be done and it's time to just enjoy 😀

Of course I've told her that she should have told us earlier and that it'd never get here in time now.!I've suggested she wait to see if it's reduced in the sales.

I just had a similar moment in Waterstones when DS picked something up and said that he really wanted it, and I have already got it Grin

totallycluelessoverhere · 22/12/2018 15:31

After weeks and weeks of asking do what he wanted and him saying he didn’t know he finally decided he would like a specific gadget - I bought it months ago Grin

My DD said something similar recently. She is really into baking and when we were in JL she said she would like measuring spoons. I mentally went 'yesss' as I had already brought her some.

Lovemusic33 · 22/12/2018 16:54

It’s happened to me too, dd say something when we were out and said ‘I would love one of these for christmas’, I told her it was too late now as I had finished the shopping, luckily I had bought said item weeks ago.

Our rule is that you get a phone on your 11th birthday. DS1 is a winter birthday so got his around this time last year and DS2 is also a winter baby so will also get his around this time of year.
DD however is a summer holiday birthday and she’s now in year 6, the other day she was saying would it be possible for her to get her phone a week or so early so she has it before the end of the summer term so she can swop numbers with her friends etc

... we’ve actually got her a phone for xmas!! She’s is going to be so surprised!
I’ve also wrapped it up and put it in the arms of a cuddly toy sloth she wants so she will open the parcel and be like yay a sloth and then have to open the smaller Parcel!!

I ummmed and ahhed for ages about half a day whether to get dds niffler teddies. I went and got them. dds have spent most of the past week playing nifflers! I'm made up! They will love them.
