Christmas Eve box finding ideas

Sorry worst title ever
I do a Christmas Eve box for my daughters and it's normally at the end of a treasure hunt. It's the same thing every year so fancy doing something different this year.
How does everyone do theirs? My 9 year old was kindly gifted an elf on the shelf yesterday I do not have time and been avoiding that shit for years so could use that in some way

Ours is sat on the kallax unit with all the christmas cards, candles and lights with a toy cuddly snowman and elf sitting on top, guarding it they havent paid any attention to it though so might just keep it all for me
