Can't saw the bottom off the tree, does it actually matter?

Never sawed the bottom off our Christmas tree and it has been fine.

Ok, do you water it or just put it up as it is?

I would water, but it's only a few days away so I would think you could get away with it now

We didn't saw our last tree and looked shit after a week (it was by a radiator tho)..
This year we did and relocated it and it still looks great after 3 weeks..
U may be ok tho as it's only for a few days
