Giving kids presents to share?

Hi guys, my 2 boys are 6 and 3 and fairly close, of course they fight like cats and dogs but play quite well together.
I’m thinking of giving lots of their gifts as presents to share.
They will each get maybe 6 individual presents and then maybe 5 presents to share.
They end up sharing toys anyway...
What do you think? Does anyone have experience with this? Will it end in tears??

I can remember getting big presents to share when I was young, tv and vhs, things like that. Me and my sister shared a bedroom and only 1 school year between us, things like board games usually had both our names on too, I see no problem if they have individual presents too

None this year. Dd6 and ds8 would just argue. At the moment there is strong sibling rivalry going on.

Mine have always had one large sharing present alongside their own individual gifts. It does get harder as they get older and have different interests but I’ve never had a problem finding things they both want. When they were similar ages to your children they had a play kitchen, the year before was a wooden doll house and year after that a barbie dream house. Now they’re older I buy a few smaller things instead like craft hampers, board games, games for any consoles they have and dvds
