DD's stocking is better than DS's! Help me balance it out

So I thought I was done. But I've just got the stocking bits out to make sure they all have the same number of things and it struck me that DD's bits are so much more fun and exciting to open on Christmas morning than Ds's. DD is 6, DS is 10. DD has more toys like LOL surprise pets, mini zoomer unicorn, maileg mouse and other bits. DS hasn't got much in the way of toys. So far he has:
New David Walliams book
Reading light (he asked for one)
Boot buddy
Magnetic sculpture thing
Back scratcher
Novelty rubbers
Bath bomb
Alarm clock (asked for one)
Chocolates

It needs a really fun cool toy or something in there. Can anyone suggest something?

I bought a plasma ball speaker in asda the other day for £6. Also got light up peg strings for clipping photos to for £4.

Others are a fart whistle.

Wind up, gnashing teeth.

Mini science kit.

Canned snow

Mini lego sets

Yours sound fab! Is he in to stationery? I'm putting some nice bits from Paperchase into my ds's (he's almost 8), Inc a "happy journal" where it prompts him to write down positive thoughts.

Sweets, chocolate, a satsuma, nuts you can't open, novelty socks, book mark, top trumps, a Costa voucher? (With a promise to take him for some quality 1-1 time soon?).

I got my 10 year old some less "fun" things than his younger brother however I think he will like them.

Money maze puzzle
Mom and son journal
Stainless steel drinking straw
Pay it forward book
Exploding kittens (game)
Gummy Christmas tree
White chocolate buttons
Cosy socks
Hot wheels car (his brother loves them so they can play together)

I have considered a motion activated light for the toilet as a "fun" gift but I can't decide if it falls into the category of junk that I will throw out in a few days...

Also a bookmark with a timer on it

What about a ready to robot or treasure X or lego blind bag?

HotInWinter · 18/12/2018 05:53

If you find something for DS, does that mean you will then need to top up DDs stocking to equall up the numbers?

Things from my kids which might fit the bill:
Rubix gears cube
Tape measure with facts on it (by Suck uk)
Top trumps - elements, but there is also a poo set about

All from Amazon, but im sure are available elsewhere.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 18/12/2018 07:28

Thanks for the suggestions. Will look into them.

Hot inWinter, no as it stands DD has a couple of extra bits anyway.

These are things in my ds9 and ds7 stockings.
Top Trumps, Match attacks, Harry Potter blind bags, smart putty, pens and rubbers and whatnot from Tiger, fortnight lama, magic tricks, bath bombs, foam soap, glow in the dark glider, lava ball, squishy pineapple stress ball...I can’t remember what else sorry. Will pop back if I think of anything else.

Thanks all. All sorted. I got a light up flying ufo thing and a nanoblock set. Think he'll be very happy with all that now.
