Do you decorate all your rooms and if so, what are they?

Downstairs only.

CantSleepClownsWillEatMe · 16/12/2018 07:29

No, too much effort! Christmas tree and crib in the living room, a couple of bits we got for each dcs first Christmas- wooden Santa train and a glass sleigh thingy. Other than that we've got some Christmas lights in the front windows and a wreath on the door. It's plenty!

Philomensapie · 16/12/2018 07:29

Just the TV room, DD decorates their room.

TheChristmasBear · 16/12/2018 07:30

Only really decorate the living room fully, but there’s a nod in other rooms.

E.g. mimi frosted fir tree in a pot in kitchen
Xmas themed flowers in hall.
Artfully arranged pile of wrapped gifts in our bedroom.
String of fairy lights along window sill in other bedrooms.
Xmas cushions on snuggle seat in study.
The odd Xmas card up on various shelves.
Xmas (gingerbread) candle in bathrooms.
Fir scented room spray spritzed daily in public rooms (kitchen , hall, living room)

AtSea1979 · 16/12/2018 07:32

Yes but we don’t have many rooms and I do it to use all the odd bits up. DC have little trees in theirs. Kitchen has a couple of ornaments and some tinsel type thing around the picture. That’s it! ...maybe I should put some in the bathroom for when we have visitors, never thought of that

Marmite27 · 16/12/2018 07:32

Living room only has decorations, but there’s a Christmas tablecloth on the kitchen table and Christmas duvet covers on the beds (excluding spare room)

fleshmarketclose · 16/12/2018 07:48

I barely tolerate a tree which is small and on the side table. I have some trees and robins (different sorts I was bought as gifts) that I put on the tv unit and window sill but other than that there is no sign of Christmas anywhere else in the house. I'm a grinch I know and will be itching to take the tree down soon after Boxing Day.

Pinkgin50 · 16/12/2018 07:53

The only rooms I haven't got decorations are the bedrooms, bathroom and downstairs toilet. Everywhere else has lights and/or decorations

namastayinbed · 16/12/2018 07:54

Just the living room/diner. Try to keep things low key as DD struggles with too much stimulation/excitement.

Pinkgin50 · 16/12/2018 07:54

Ooh I forgot, I have got Christmas bedding on in one bedroom

SarahET · 16/12/2018 07:58

Just the living room and fairy lights in the hall.

OliviaStabler · 16/12/2018 07:58

No, only the front room. Rest of the house stays as it is.

anniehm · 16/12/2018 08:00

No, just tree and a few bits of tinsel round plant pots plus the nativity scene

Citylivingwithdogs · 16/12/2018 08:02

No, Christmas tree in sitting room only. I love Christmas but decorations annoy me 😬

Lovemusic33 · 16/12/2018 08:29

I do, thought the bathroom just has a Father Christmas ornament in it. The living room is the main room (Christmas tree, lots of Christmas ornaments and cushions), bedrooms have tinsel on the beds, Christmas tree on the landing upstairs. I’m getting a few bits for the kitchen and dd’s Room today.

livingthegoodlife · 16/12/2018 08:49

Mainly the lounge and dining room. Then a Christmas hand towel and mirror sticker in downstairs loo, tiny tree on counter in kitchen, garland on stair case. Nothing upstairs!

DoAsYouWouldBeMumBy · 17/12/2018 19:45

@TheChristmasBear your house sounds nice at Christmas!

I do a bit in most rooms, yes - kitchen gets quite a bit of festive love Xmas Grin

titchy · 17/12/2018 19:51

Lighted swag in the kitchen
Lights strung between the lounge/diner

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/12/2018 20:17

Christmas Loo-Roll Xmas Grin The Snowman (Wilko) and silver star (M&S)

Veryflummoxed · 17/12/2018 22:06

Not the kitchen but every where else. Small trees in bedrooms. Christmas bedding for children. Four mantelpieces with swags and lights. Trees in sitting room hall and breakfast room. Swags and lights on banisters then bowls and candles ornaments etc around. Do a bit at a time through December and leave up till the 6th.
