What is a really cool clothes shop for 11 year old girls?

My 11 year old niece wants clothes for her Christmas. She's become a bit of a tomboy recently so the clothes shops like Zara don't seem to have anything suitable (a bit too sparkly and covered in Unicorns).

Where do kids like to shop these days?

Depends on her height. If a tall 11 year old you can look at size 4 or 6 adults or xxs for example Hollister, superdry. Go for tops rather than trousers/dresses as they may be too long in body. If too expensive then New Look is your friend.

I like to look in River Island kids. I dont like all their stuff but some nice unique items. Also H&M has lots of "Tomboy" stuff.

River island, topshop, h&m, jd sports, usc, x

SpiritedLondon · 14/12/2018 14:29

I think H&M have some good stuff if you steer away from the glittery kittens. The conscious collection has a good unisex range. The girls jeans tend to be skinny though so I often buy in the boys section. Uniqlo have good puffer coats, hats scarves shirts etc in a range of colours and interesting collaborations although I don’t know what their upper age range is.

My daughter and her friends are quite in to Hype clothing. Other than that she also likes H&M and Zara.

DD is 11 and they all only really shop in river island. H&M is a bit tacky once out of the under 10 range

Ggirl27 · 14/12/2018 14:37

Primark - or Primarni - as it's affectionally known in these parts. All my DDs friends shop there...

SoupDragon · 14/12/2018 14:40

DD (12) likes Hype, New Look and Adidas as well as Primark.

SoupDragon · 14/12/2018 14:41

New Look has quite a good teen range.

Totorosfluffytummy · 14/12/2018 15:03

New Look are good for avoiding all the unicorns etc but a lot of their girls Tops are tight-fit or cropped which are not to everyone's liking (personally I think they're not nice)

FrankieChips · 14/12/2018 18:40

Ooooh New Look! Never thought about that shops! Thank you so much ladies. Loads of ideas now :)
