Just amended my Christmas food shop after removing the £60 worth of milk I put in the basket to reserve my slot in September! Would anyone will to share what Christmas snack food they are buying? I love reading what other people are buying and often prompts me into amending my order as I realise I forgot something.
Snacks/sweets: 2x celebration pouches
2 x Hero pouches
1 x Quality pouch
1 x Roses pouch
2 x large boxes of Maltesers
24 mince pies
4 Christmas bar cakes
3 boxes of biscuits
1 box of shortbread
12 Christmas cup cakes
12 mini yole logs
2 boxes of white chocolate fingers
2 boxes milk chocolate fingers
2 boxes Cadbury festive chocolate Santa biscuits
1 box jelly babies
1 box wine gums
1 tub of tickets
1 tub of cheese ball
1 tub of cheeselets crackers

Then I have a cheese board with 8 different cheese, variety of crackers and red wine.

Hoping for some ideas for Savoy snacks as I seem to of ordered a lot of chocolate.

My list will include nice cheeses, fancy crackers, some stollen, nuts, champagne, smoked salmon to have with scrambled eggs on Christmas morning. Everything else will be homemade stuff (sausage rolls, yule log, mince pies etc).

I’ve already bought lots of M&S party food including mini Coquille St Jacques and Prawn things, and lots of cheese and pate. In my online shop I’m going to get those flaky pastry cheese twist things, lots of savoury crackers, the Boursin cheese with pepper rather than garlic. I’m also going to add some arborio rice and Parmesan to make a risottos with left over turkey and gammon.

anniehm · 12/12/2018 17:38

I have cheese board, tons of crackers (already bought) cheese straws (bought) Pringles, olives, cheesy biscuits, pate (bought) a ham (bought today). Mum brings the cheap and nasty chocolates, I'm making truffles next week (100% cocoa choc bought).

Just ordered everything apart from veg to collect from Morrison's on Christmas Eve including hot snacks eg mini beef wellingtons, tempura nests (vegan!), potato skins etc.

We're going away this Christmas so I don't have to shop. But last Christmas I bought about 5 pomegranates in amongst all the other Christmas rubbish - they look so beautiful in the kitchen and really cheered me up at a difficult time of the year.

ohtheholidays · 12/12/2018 18:23

So far I've bought
A tub of snowballs
1 bottle of red chocolate wine.
1 bottle of chocolate and coconut liquer
1 bottle of mince pie cream liquer
1 bottle of glazed doughnut syrup
1 bottle of Irish coffee pump cream
1 bottle of Maple bourbon pump cream
(those last 3 are sugar free and I'm doing slimming world)
2 bags of flavoured coffee
1 packet of mince pie flavoured tea
2 tubes of Christmas dinner pringles
2 tubes of Bbq pringles
1 box each of Gingerbread matchsticks, orange matchsticks, mint matchsticks and salted caramel matchsticks
1 box of elizabeth shaw milk mint chocolates
1 box of coconut ice
1 large box of bendicks mint chocolates(£6 on offer in Waitrose)
1 box of turkish delight
3 boxes of jacobs savoury favourites(biscuits for cheese)£1 per box
2 small iced Christmas cakes
2 small fruit and nut Christmas cakes
Raspberry Jam,homemade that I bought at a Christmas fair
Piccalilli,bought from the same fair

I hadn't realized quite how much I'd already bought but I think that's because I've been buying dribs and drabs here and there and I've been really lucky and bought lots of the bits on offer/really cheaply.

I still need to get some celebrations
Quality street
Nuts
Dates I love them but I'll have to try and show some restraint this year!
Sour cream and chive pringles
Salt and vinegar pringles(for my DH's stocking)
A few more bottles of spirits
White wine
Bucks fizz
Beer and cider, for the oldest DS's(22 and 20)and they're friends
Pickled onions and chutneys
j20's and shloer for the DC and non drinkers.

Then it's just some cheeses, fruit juice, fresh fruit and vegetables, the turkey and some party type food(I'm going to try and make quite a bit myself because of being on slimming world)for Christmas day and Boxing day.

Oh I nearly forgot some mince pies, custard, cream and a couple of puddings.

The drinks and dried goods/chocolate should last us until New Years eve/day or maybe beyond if I'm lucky.

MustBeThin · 12/12/2018 18:39

Halfahunnerstillastunner · 12/12/2018 19:41

ohtheholidays mince pie cream liquor sounds amazing!! Where did you find it?!

Halfahunnerstillastunner · 12/12/2018 19:45

mustbethin a lot of people, myself included, avoid Nestle products due to their shenanigans of promoting formula feed in developing countries with poor water sanitation, leading to infection and death of babies. I think After Eights are one of theirs? Might be why it's missing on people's lists.
