Present for 13 yr old girl (£10-£15 budget)

I'm looking for suggestions for DN who's almost 13. Budget is £10-£15. She has eczema so smellies aren't always suitable and I'm not sure if parents are massively keen on make up (but nail varnish / lip glosses would probably be ok). Would rather get a physical gift than vouchers as will send a voucher for upcoming birthday.
What's 'in' with your young teens?

A five year journal? Would take her to 18?

ifiwasabutterfly · 12/12/2018 07:32

Do you have any clues as to what she is into? My dd13 has very specific likes/interests these days - I think stationery is a good bet if not.

A felt peg letter board. You can get them on amazon in different colours. She/parents/friends can leave messages on it. Some come with little shapes too like smiley faces and stars.

Ask her. 13 is an iffy age. It could be she would really love to have the new Jacqueline Wilson book or new Wimpy Kid but people often think 13 is 'too old' for those.

PerspicaciaTick · 12/12/2018 07:36

Definitely stationery. Probably Japanese. Maybe have a look at Muji for ideas.

helpmum2003 · 12/12/2018 07:40

Paperchase for stationery?

Does she do any sport?

Lava lamp?

Teddy bear throw from Dunelm?

TheClitterati · 12/12/2018 08:33

Dd is 11 - she is crazy about stationary, pens etc

TheClitterati · 12/12/2018 08:34

Big fluffy super soft blanket in her fav colour?

labazs · 12/12/2018 08:53

does she do any games if so you could buy her a game for her playstation or whatever
stationery is good can use it at school too
does she do handicrafts maybe a learn to knit kit

My niece would like stationary, wilkinsons have some nice and not too expensive bits. The works is also good. She's also like a snuggly blanket as mentioned above.

I know you don't want a voucher by itself but what about a reusable cup with a Costa/Starbucks voucher if she's at the age where she goes shopping with friends?

Some great ideas here - thank you 😊

I'd suggest checking with her parents because 13 year olds vary so much.
My DD (13 in new year) would love anything clothing, accessories, makeup or stationary related. Her cousin (who is 13) would absolutely hate these but is into Lego, board games and arts/crafts, which DD would hate (she'd be ok with some artist items).
If you were randomnly buying for one of these girls, there's a high chance you would get it wrong ...

Agree with room stuff- light boxes, fairy lights etc ....the range do canvases that light up which are pretty cool if you're 13.

Numberonecook · 12/12/2018 12:47

Certainly stationary or ...

funky slippers, a nice top, a bag, brushes. Does she have pierced ears? Maybe earrings? Nice water bottle, iTunes, Reed diffuser, photo frames, cushions

Cash, all teenagers like cash.
