Do I??? Me and dds watched fantastic beasts and where to find them this weekend and they loved it, especially the nifflers! I have been so good this year and only bought a few Christmas presents for them, no tat that won't get used. Now I'm twitching and tempted to buy them a baby niffler each and the big one for me but this would be silly wouldn't it. They have a zillion teddies. We really don't need a family of nifflers. Pleas3 give me strength not to buy these!! £48 on teddies is ott! But they really would love them so it's not tat!!

I've got a niffler - he's only little and clips to my bag and has a zip on his furry tummy where I keep some cash in case of emergency. So he's a practical, sensible niffler Grin

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 10/12/2018 13:34

Seriously though, only get a niffler if nobody is getting jewellery for Christmas. You know what they're like.

NotTheMrMenAgain · 10/12/2018 13:39

I went round the Jewellery Quarter with my niffler on my bag, shopping for Christmas presents......it was CARNAGE Blush

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 10/12/2018 13:46
Shock

Ds2 got his in Naples then we went into the cathedral with him. Bad move - you know how heavily decorated those Italian churches are. Imo there should be a 'no nifflers' sign like the no dogs one.

bakingdemon · 10/12/2018 14:14

I've got one for my DP! Ordered it online from Noble Toys (I think that's the name of the supplier) as they could deliver much faster than Amazon. Going to fill its pouch with chocolate coins before I wrap it.

Bogiesaremyonlyfriend · 10/12/2018 14:44

Sounds like these nifflers do more harm than good!! I like the chocolate coins idea! And now maybe I need a coin purse niffler for my bag too! You were supposed to be stopping me not making me buy more nifflers. I'll have more nifflers than humans living in my house by the end of the day

I have them all over my bookshop...

Karmagoat · 10/12/2018 14:50

they are so cute, you definitely need a family of nifflers!

steppemum · 10/12/2018 14:50

buy the big niffler from waterstones, as he really is cute.
Don't buy the baby nifflers as they are not nearly so good.

Or go to Hawkins Bazaar, they had good nifflers for less than waterstones

steppemum · 10/12/2018 14:52

Oh my dear ggodness me.
I ad resisted the idea of buying dd a niffler, but buying one and filling its pocket with coins......

That relaly is very cute.
(can't do that with the baby ones though, they didn't have pockets)

Bogiesaremyonlyfriend · 10/12/2018 15:17

Yes I think it may be the chocolate coins suggestion that has won it iver for me. I tho k I'm going to call her "Penny" and not let the kids cuddle her....

Asda have Niffler coin purses @ 3 for £10!

They're small, but very cute!

Stop singingsands I can't have any more nifflers! This thread was supposed to out me off then not encourage me to buy more. Now I need a family of nifflers plus a coin purse... although at this rate I'll have no coins left to out in it, just a managerie of nifflers. What do you think the collective join for nifflers is by the way??

TheGirlWhoLived · 10/12/2018 17:15

A pennypinch of nifflers?

Weezol · 10/12/2018 17:24

A 'snuffle' of Nifflers?
A 'seek'?
A 'treasure'?

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 10/12/2018 17:24

Why in Gods name am I now considering a niffler?

duriandurian · 10/12/2018 17:25

Thank you! Have sad DC as DH away all week and I won't see them tomorrow as away dusk until dawn.
Was trying to think of a worry doll type gift. Very pleased with idea of niffler baby for her and a tacky beanie boo snowman for him!
Would never have thought of it otherwise (brain melt). Thank you!

Bogiesaremyonlyfriend · 10/12/2018 17:31

Haha I like a pennypinch and treasure! You're considering a niffler because it would be ridiculous not to have a whole family of nifflers and spend over £40 On the sweet little loves!
Glad to have been of some assistance!!

A hoarding of Nifflers? Grin

PurpleTigerLove · 10/12/2018 19:28

I have seen this and been tempted so I can understand your pain . The only thing cuter than a cuddly muffler is a teeny tiny Lego niffler.

PurpleTigerLove · 10/12/2018 19:30

Lego niffler

I really don't need a niffler....
PurpleTigerLove · 10/12/2018 19:31
  • niffler ! A cuddly muffler doesn’t sound quite as appealing
chilledteacher · 10/12/2018 19:38

I haven't even watched the film yet and I want a Niffler...
