A nice bottle of a liqueur or a couple of nice cheeses and chutneys(although I know that's a bit more difficult because of needing to keep them cold)that or some nice toffee and sugared almonds.

Gin, (not the fashionable flavoured ones), with a good tonic and a lemon
Champagne, (some inexpensive ones do really well in reviews), or good alternative fizz including English ones
A good dry white wine, (or two)
Extra special dark and milk chocolates
Homemade chutney, jam, pickled onions or piccalilli
Homebaked fruit cake or mince pies in a nice tin

Turkish delight. I would never buy it for myself. But if someone appears with a box for a present, I'm in heaven.

For drink, it has to be champagne.
