Apart from an insane moment when I considered turning the conservatory windows into a snowy, scraped and sprayed landscape, there was nothing I long to try. And the conservatory windows will remain unmolested.

Anyone else having a go at any of her suggestions?

Oh I am always ‘ispaaaared’ (bit of a running joke in our family). We LOVE Kirsty it’s a Christmas tradition now to watch her programme
I find it so festive and entertaining.
Particularly liked the lady who dyed things and the fact that every shade in her book was a beige variant 🤣 but I findthe whole thing almost hypnotic to watch.
Loved the window art it was beautiful

‘Inspaaaared’

bastardkitty · 01/12/2018 09:58

It's absolutely fucking rubbish Grin

keely71 · 01/12/2018 09:59

It all looked pretty awful if I’m honest.

keely71 · 01/12/2018 10:00

Apart from the window art. That was quite nice.

Binglebong · 01/12/2018 10:05

Bugger missed it. It's annual entertainment here - will have to download. I'm amazed they put it on early enough to actually do some of the crafts in time for Christmas.

teenager456 · 01/12/2018 10:06

We love it it’s so funny
Where do they find these people it’s brilliant. Dd said to me it’s all very well using waste to make dyes but she’s boiling it for hours what about all the electricity and heat etc used for that surely it cancels it out
The fabric flower woman too that didn’t even look festive
Was Kirsty advertising eggs this week too ?

MyOtherProfile · 01/12/2018 10:06

The window art was lovely but needs more skill than I have. Everything else will just look tacky. Fairy wands with a bit of fabric, anyone?

teenager456 · 01/12/2018 10:09

Oh yes the wands ! 🤣 dd2 would love that activity (she’s 8)

TrickyD · 01/12/2018 10:19

Bingle, she is on all next week at 5pm, channel 4. More visits to 'craftspeople' no doubt turning out stuff which would fit well on a 'Facebook Christmas Tat' thread.

The dying perfectly good napkins in boiled avocado until they turned a nasty splodgy beige was the low point.

Nevertheless, I will be watching every episode next week. Xmas Grin

Those dyed napkins looked wrung-out and blood stained. Nothing more festive than abbatorial table dressing!

5foot5 · 01/12/2018 21:38

I turned on just as the window art finished. Shame because it was the only thing that looked nice.

senua · 01/12/2018 21:52

It's all a conspiracy! It's like the Money for Nothing programme with Sarah Moore where they showcase artisan artists to try to make us appreciate their work and pay more for their goods.
The wand was ridiculous. The artist suggested 12 different ribbons. That's fine if you make these things for a living but for a person to go out and purchase all the different elements it would cost an absolute fortune for one wand.
Most of Kirstie's ideas are just not practical nor cost effective.

The eucalyptus napkin was horrible. It looked mouldy.

rslsys · 01/12/2018 22:09

Someone asked her on Twitter earlier in the year if she was doing a series this year, her answer was that "She couldn't be arsed".
I though she was joking.

JustWhatINeededNow · 03/12/2018 10:44

We laughed at the period stained muslins. At the table? Gross.

But then DH was drawn in to the advocaat (sp?) recipe so that might make an appearance.

The wand was crazy but my DD would love it. Never going to happen though!
