English Heritage or National Trust annual membership?

Looking for a present for my brother and his wife. Which one do you recommend? They have young children, live in the North, if that's relevant.

I dont think NT seem to do offers

They do sometimes. DD got a discount this year when she took out membership at an event.

I would tend towards NT but I do live near quite a few NT properties.

I live in the North and this is a wide definition. We had NT recently and had to travel around 45 mins to our nearest property (that being said we got lots of use from the membership) but EH sites are closer. Both have apps where you can look at what's close by. Currently accessing EH properties through CSSC sport and leisure card, which has other benefits like a free tastecard, cheaper cinema tickets, free entry to historic palaces.
