Present for difficult (but lovely) 7 year old girl

My 7-year old is lovely but very difficult to buy for as there is nothing that she really fancies. In addition, as she is the second of four kids, our house is filled to the brim with toys so this time I´d really only want to buy sth that is getting played with.
So things I cannot/will not buy are:
-lego/playmobil as she has loads already and it doesn´t really get played with.
-make up/dolls/dress up stuff (as I hate it and she will receive it from mil)
-battery operated pets - we have four lying around that she ignores
-craft projects - idem
-hot items that disappoint (slime unicorns etc).
-board games
-v-tech items as quality often is lousy (the camera for instance)

She´ll typically play with her sister and brothers, but there is very little that makes her play by herself. Her siblings are easy to buy for as they have specific hobbies/collections. Would you have any bright ideas?

An experience like a zookeeper for the day? Or a theatre trip? Something just for her and you. Then you could theme a few presents to wrap up that are linked to the experience.

How about a spy set? Never known a kid of that age who doesn’t enjoy invisible ink and such stuff.

A musical instrument- guitar, keyboard, electric drum kit.

I bought my son a guitar for his 8th birthday and at 13 he’s at the same standard as me (I’ve been playing for over 25 years!)

Starter Skateboard set from skate hut was a big hit in our house last year

What about some personalised items - Getting Personal has good things and it would help her feel an ‘individual’ - personalised things go down very well in my large family. Otherwise what about a subscription to a comic or subscription box? Everyone loves getting parcels and if they are addressed to her she might be more inclined to use their contents.

My 7 year old DD is getting a decent scooter (about £70), some jewel petz bracelet things and a set of Roald Dahl books.

What about a microscope or a telescope?

Metal detector :)

A bike perhaps?

But I also second the experience gift! It's a wonderful way to create a memory.

Rollerblades? Bootskates?
