Hi

I am looking for some gift ideas to post to an 11 and 12 year old girl in America.

Needs to be fairly light so no books etc

Is smiggle ok for that age group or too young?

Thanks in advance! Totally struggling as dd only 4 and don't know anyone with kids in that age bracket

Would a bracelet each work?

Nitpickpicnic · 26/11/2018 22:05

I’d say they’re beyond Smiggle by that age, but stationery (a bound organiser, but might be too heavy?) could still work.

Other ideas:
Fancy key rings (here they put them on school bags)
Ear buds/headphones
Small watercolour sets
Jewellery

Set of cool fairy lights (watch the plug might not be compatible)
Bracelets - especially charm ones they put together
Hype t-shirt so you can post as a letter
Little Mix DVD!

Agree they've outgrown Smiggle sadly

Stompythedinosaur · 26/11/2018 22:14

Agree they are too old for smiggle.

I would maybe go for one of the interactive glow in the dark t-shirts each (cost around £15 from Amazon amongst other places) or a selection of English sweets.

winterisstillcoming · 26/11/2018 22:17

Can you order from amazon.com and have something delivered direct?

ifiwasabutterfly · 26/11/2018 22:17

I would say possibly sweets or something. Dd and DS love to try and get things they see the US you tubers have (nutter butters etc) wondering if there are any big you tubers in the U.K. that do similar.

Def not smiggle that is for primary age kids.

I have to post presents and this year I'm sending room decoration stuff. Emoji cushions, floral bunting, wall stickers, marshmallow tea cakes, lighy purses and Christmas baubles.

Thanks, great suggestions.

Sweets is a good idea as can get some British ones.

Will have a look at some of the other suggestions as key rings, bracelets and t shirts should all be fine weight wise.

Will avoid smiggle Grin
