Alternative to wine and chocolates

There are a few couples I need to buy token gifts for. They always give me a box of chocs and some wine. This is great as far as I am concerned but it looks a bit stupid me handing back the same.

Can anyone suggest an alternative? Total budget £15-20. As said, it is just a token gift when seeing them over Christmas.

Scented candle? Orchid in a pot? Fancy cheese?

I like those

Posh coffee.
Biscuits.
Bouquet of flowers.
Poinsettia.

Infused oils
Reed diffuser
Those flavoured Irish creams that m&s sell

Just get in there first with the presents

Yankee candle or they do nice gift set type things they are a nice gift x

Candles can be problematic for asthmatics. Flowers and plants are nice, luxury food items.

Sometimes it depends on the context eg if at their homes and if you are eating there.

Bottle of vin santo and some really nice biscotti to have with it.
Panettone with coffee
A camembert in a baking dish and a selection of posh oat cakes
Brandy and dark chocolate from Aldi

Lovely bath soak

Port and cheese
Local craft beers
Posh dried fruit and nuts

Amaryllis, it's fun to watch them grow

Tea selection / fancy coffee

Bath Bombs, Cheese Board, Photo Frame, Coffee, Candles.

Pandoro
Panetone
Limoncello and choc shots

Anything from Carluccios

Weirdly, Ikea do lovely hampers of slightly different stuff for roughly chocs and wine prices.

I have to give a special mention to mumonashoestring. Your presents sound lovely. Wish someone would buy me stuff like that.

Why not donate them as soon as you get them then?

I think all Panetone looks like it comes from Aldi or Lidl or a TK Maxx bargin shelf. I love the stuff but it doesn't lfeel like a " generous" gift.
