We made salt dough ornaments every Christmas. Look it up on google - but its' basically one salt and two plain flour, add one water to make dough. Roll it out and cut into ornament shapes with cookie cutters, make a hole at the top for the ribbon , bake on a very low heat for 2-3 hours until they are hard.

Once they are made, they kids can paint them as they like with acrylic paints and then hang ribbon or cord through the holes to hang on the tree. They make nice gifts for relatives , or hang them on your own tree. Kids love making them !

I’m a guide leader and we’re going to make Christmas cards for local people in the village who might not get many. (Live in a small village in the highlands).

Age UK are quite good for getting Christmas cards to local elderly people also the website post pals which is website to send cards to sick children.

Good excuse to get covered in glitter!
