Gift ideas for 17 month old please

I am struggling with a token gift to get for 17 month old for about £10.
I don’t see her very often so have no idea about her interests.
I was thinking of a bath toy but have now found out they only have a shower!
Any suggestions please?

Can't go wrong with a couple of books imo.

Board books maybe? Each peach pear plum is a classic and the Usbourne touch & feel ones are good for littlies.

What about a jigsaw? Not too expensive and lots of options for that age group.

With my DS & DD, nothing got more play out of it than a small basic set of plastic pots and pans (realistic looking). No idea why, perhaps because they didn't look like toys but were little? Bought it for others as well, same story, great success.
Closest I can find at a quick google is 'Theo Klein' pots and pans at Amazon.
But best check with the parents first that the child doesn't already have a fully kitted out play kitchen.

Wooden blocks, Duplo, any kind of toy vehicles, musical instruments. More books are always good, god knows I get sick of reading my 18 month old the same ones over and over and over and over...
