Recyclable black big bags

We end up with a lot of wrapping paper at Christmas. I'm ashamed to say most of it ends up in a black sack mixed with other rubbish in the main bin, simply because everything gets shoved in black sacks as we go to try and keep on top of things.

I would like to get some paper "black bin" bags that we could collect the recycling in. Do these exist?

We just put all ours in an empty big box. Plenty of empty Amazon boxes in our house 😂

Or collected in a big bag for life then tipped straight into the recycling bin :)

At Christmas, I set up a recycling area in the shed with boxes for paper, card, hard plastic, bottles and cans. I can never find the clear plastic bags that the council will accept extra recycling in, and it won’t all fit in the bin. It takes 2 mins to sort and then I can whizz down to the recycling centre after Christmas and get rid of the lot. Other years it would take a few bin collections to clear the backlog and some would end up in the landfill bin Blush

I just use bags for life and condense it all as much as I can before tipping it all into our recycling bin

A lot of wrapping paper can't actually be recycled, especially if it's got sellotape mixed in with it. Foil-coated paper ie the shiny stuff is a specific offender! If the paper stays in a ball when you a scrunch it up, then it can usually be recycled.
