Any How to Train Your Dragon fans here? Or anyone who works in the film industry?

So DD is a HTTYD nut. She absolutely loves Dragons, and HTTYD above all else. She is super excited about the new film coming out (though I haven't shown her the trailer because I don't want her to spend 5 months obsessing over what MIGHT happen in it, and then not enjoy the actual film!)

For Christmas I would love to buy her tickets to a first showing, premier-style fan screening, IMAX or similar - am happy to do a trip to London, dress up as a Viking, whatever, this is her obsession and given she has loved it from 4 to now 7 I am sure It Will Pass so I'd like to enjoy it while we can.

But Google isn't helping me - has anyone seen anything like that advertised?

I haven't seen anything advertised. There were adverts for how to train your dragon at comic con this year on a big screen.

Maybe if she's into dressing up and other fandoms it might be an idea to go to comic con next year. I took my dds in October and we had great fun, some costumes are insane!! Already planning our costumes for next year!! They are on twice a year in London but other areas may do smaller ones too.

Have you seen build a bear have a range of the dragons? And cupcake cult do a hoodie that makes it look like you are toothless, you might get away with the smallest size for your dd. A local shop to me even had the white Dragon hoodie from the new film, dd2 fell in love with it but was £45 😲

My dd is the same, the film is due out around her birthday so she keeps telling me so that solves her birthday present. I'm buying the playmobil dragons for her for xmas. Shes nearly 9 but i think she will like these especially the toothless one.

I can’t wait for this. I think there will be tears in this film! Release date is 1st February in the UK but I think Australia get it in January so that’s may be where the big premier is.

If you are on twitter you could tweet someone like Richard Arnold from good morning Britain. He’s always at premiers.

I know the trailer made me cry Blush. I think partly because it's the final one and i'm conscious this will be the end of an era when DD stops loving it so much.

Red we have lots of the HTTYD playmobil and I wondered if it would be grown out of, but it's BRILLIANT playvalue, the Isle of Berk set is awesome. And Toothless shoots blue fire.

I might try twitter, good idea anxious. That's why I wondered if there was anyone in the film industry who might know how this stuff works!
