I have precisely no idea what to get dd2 this year [confused[

She picked the book I was going to get her, when she went out with her dad a couple of weeks ago & has only asked for a tablet of her own rather than sharing with me.

I've been and bought pj's and an outfit along with a couple of novelty bits today but am quite struggling for any other ideas (not helped by the fact that her birthday is 28th December).

Any inspiration would be very welcome Xmas Smile

8yr old:
-mini sewing machine (proper one just small) and some fabric
-books
-a few clothes she needs
-star wars DVDs
-food stuff she likes
-slime making kit
-a couple of board games

Maybe:
-bead/necklace making kit
-some Minecraft Lego.
-craft stuff

Pretty much all of it.

New gym kit
Disembodied head for hair styling
Lego

Pascha · 16/11/2018 16:57

Ds1 has asked for more Lego technics, some particular toy racing cars, hotwheels etc.

Nothing out of this world.

lucysmam · 16/11/2018 17:00

Xmas Grin Hellena that made me smile. We already have a disembodied head...it's hair currently resembles a rat's nest & I haven't the cba to fix it again.

I'll show her the two for £10 section on the Works website tomorrow, dd1 liked the look of some of them when we were in there the other week.

She doesn't particularly need anything so it's just a few fun bits really. We usually add to her Build a Bear collection on her birthday & they're about the only toy she reliably plays with these days but I don't want to do it for Christmas then be stumped for her birthday.

@lucysmam it is a Bluetooth speaker that I picked up in the sale (£8 reduced from something like £22). She is always stealing my megaboom but I wasn’t prepared to spend that much on an 8yr old!

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 16/11/2018 19:53

My 9 year old is having a decorate your own dolls house from hobby craft. Various busy books, funko pop minis blind boxes, funko pop figures (Coraline and teen titans). Graphic novels - Simpsons, teen titans and Steven universe. Smiggle pop out pencil case and scented/funky stationary. Pusheen stuff from Claire's. Lots of books - wimpy kid, Tom gates, dork diaries, Dogman. Harry potter stuff including wand, cuddly toys, snowglobe, bag from Primark. Clothes. How to draw comic books. Shopkins and enchantimals dolls. Ninja turtles figures. Science kit.

Some of this is for her birthday. She's not a girly girl so might not be helpful!
