Ballet shoes when I was very little, getting them was one of my earliest memories. I remember in rushing in to tell my mother what Father Christmas has brought.

A Barbie tent with lots of accessories, it was set up upstairs so it didn't get knocked over or have pieces lost and I didn't want to come down and open the rest of my presents because I didn't want to leave it.

Twosoups I also had the big Sindy house. Loved it!

Other things I remember getting and being delighted with are Care Bears, a Pound Puppy, Chicaboo, My Little Pony and a Strawberry Shortcake.

I used to love all the little bits and pieces too - felt pens that smelt like fruit, erasers in all different shapes, glittery stickers, scented soaps and bubble bath. I loved being a kid!

Sindy swimming pool.
Knitted scarecrow that became my second soft toy I must always have with me.
One year I got a bin covered in pink fur with a face on it. Wtf was that about? I loved it though!
Baby doll with a big box of baby clothes from jumble sales!

motortroll · 15/11/2018 22:29

Ooh Sony Walkman!!!!

motortroll · 15/11/2018 22:30

Bikes my dad got from the tip and fixed up and painted!

HumphreyCobblers · 15/11/2018 22:30

Father Christmas brought me a copy of The Five Children and It and the two sequels. I still have that book. The memory of reading it in bed on Christmas morning and eating those little round sweets in a plastic wrapping is SO vivid.

Otherwise a dolls pram and nurse outfit. I have photos of my little sister and me parading proudly up and down all dressed up, outside the house.

Borris · 15/11/2018 22:33

My little pony dream castle to share with my sister. And flower fairies secret garden

Twainiac · 15/11/2018 22:34

It's interesting, this. I don't actually remember any gifts til I was about 12. I do remember bacon sandwiches for breakfast, opening stockings with my cousins, family walks and family meals.... We (or should I say "I"), spend so much time worrying about finding the perfect presents, but in reality it's the people and places we remember.

Littlelambpeep · 15/11/2018 22:37

I forgot a lot of these until now but a Fashion Wheel
Finders keepers
Smurf teddy
Glo worm
Big yellow teapot
Care Bears

My brother got teddy Ruskpin

Catmint · 15/11/2018 22:38

Bionic woman dress up outfit.

Lots of slow mo running round the garden!

Cattenberg · 15/11/2018 22:40

I remember getting lots of good presents when I was 11 (early 90s) They included:

A cork pinboard, so I could pin up lists, pictures, photos etc. Two of my friends had one and I REALLY wanted one too.

A pair of walkie-talkies. They made me feel like a spy, or person in a mystery novel.

Today's 11 year olds must think I'm prehistoric.

Almondio · 15/11/2018 22:50

A Holly Hobby doll's house with a Strawberry Shortcake doll who smelt of strawberries. Adorable 80s perfection!

user1494055864 · 15/11/2018 22:54

I got a Boy George doll. We had no money growing up, so I never thought my mum would be able to afford one. I've still got him. Grin

stridesy · 15/11/2018 22:55

I remember getting a barbie caravan when I was ten and some computer thing and a hifi at 11. I'm suprised I can't remember anything else.

Yorkshirelassie · 15/11/2018 22:58

A yellow Sindy car
Sony Walkman (with Wham! Album in it!)
Also I had a fab uncle who every year would buy me a makeup set, all those little pallets of eyeshadow, blusher, lip colour in a fancy shaped box. Loved them!

Yorkshirelassie · 15/11/2018 23:00

P.s always wanted a speak and spell, but got a "Little professor" maths type thing -loved it though, seemed so hi tech!

apostropheuse · 15/11/2018 23:05

A Choosy Susie doll when I was 5, so in 1966. She came with a spoon with pretend medicine moulded on to it and a baby feeding bottle. She turned her head away feom the medicine but towards the bottle. I loved her!

Sunhill4 · 15/11/2018 23:06

Loved getting a new annual every year, a radio shaped like a pepsi can & a doll's house with real lights!

MissLadyM · 15/11/2018 23:08

Sindy things, a giant plush Pink Panther and a Ghostbusters single. This is bringing back lovely memories!

meow1989 · 15/11/2018 23:12

I remember getting a barbie from my dad one year and feeling sad a the thought of him finding out I had become to old to play with them as it might hurt his feelings. In reality my mum probably bought all the presents and labelled a few from dad, but still. (Sorry to bring it down!)

I don't know if I can remember any other specifically Blush

AlbertWinestein · 15/11/2018 23:15

And then a couple of years later, getting the yellow Sindy buggy car and tent and the Sindy horse. I can remember every second of how excited I was to get them, yet I don’t remember ever asking for them.

MrsFuckwitthefirst · 15/11/2018 23:17

A dancing Pippa. She moved her upper body danced when you pushed the button on her back. I had a little carry case, one side for her the other you could hang her clothes up.

Sindy's horse.

Holly Hobby doll - loved her! Had matching duvet cover. ❤️❤️

Girls World.

Merlin - a red hand held electronic game. Only ever played 'tic tac toe' or noughts & crosses to us Brits. Love to see my teenagers face if I gave him that now.

An plastic orange record player, I played my 'remember your a womble' single on it.

A twizzle stick. Yellow with a red end, clear wire you moved it so I looked like you were doing tricks.

Make up set from boots, thought it was very sophisticated!

Blue & yellow Roller boots with yellow wheels. I waited and waited for those. Last person on the street to get a pair. Loved them and played out in them all the time.

Tiny Tears. My friend had one and cut the dolls hair, looked terrible. I was never one for cutting my dolls hair.

craftymum01 · 15/11/2018 23:22

My dad bought be an ENORMOUS stuffed pig one year (I collected pigs). It was so big I couldn't get my arms round it.
Also a life sized doll,
and the game dream phone where you called different fictional boys to see who had a crush on you lol

QueJamones · 15/11/2018 23:24

A tape recorder like this... completely loved it...
