My 8 year old girl wants slime and a smiggle lunch box and lots of other things from smiggle.
Jojo bow, which I refuse to get as I don’t like them
Stick on earrings
She has asked for some v tech thing which I’m also not getting as it looks like it’s for much younger children and she’s already got a Kano computer.
So I also need to find a bigger main present.

Borris · 14/11/2018 22:00

I came on to say slime for the 8 year old 😬

Leeds2 · 14/11/2018 22:05

Lush bath bombs.

Skateboard, or scooter.

Pogo sticks.

New furnishings for the bedroom, ie duvet set, bean bag, cushions. Bean bag may be a good call anyway, even if not for the bedroom.

winterisstillcoming · 14/11/2018 22:06

Pyjamas

1stTimeMama · 14/11/2018 22:07

My newly 9yr old would like:

More Lego than Legoland
Anything squishy, particularly Squeezamals
Books
Harry Potter themed things
Anything with a 'surprise' element
Anything scented, be it stationary or cuddly

Worriedmum42 · 14/11/2018 22:40

Ice skates - pondering on some private lessons
Dressing gown
Pandora charm for bracelet she saved up for earlier in year
Games
Jigsaw puzzle
Kitchen science kit
Books
Bath bombs

Neolara · 14/11/2018 22:42

Latest a David Walliams book for either.

ManicGirl · 14/11/2018 22:46

@Worriedmum42 Snap! Getting my DD8 ice skates and a beginner course at ice rink. It was roller skates when she was 7 which she's still obsessed with.

Also getting Lego Friends set and a Lolo ball because I remember having one when I was her age and loving it!

We are struggling too with very similar aged kids.

9 yr old mentioned Nintendo switch to DH so we looked into that last night but at £300 that's a no!

She does need a new kindle fire as the battery in hers is terrible so I think we will get her that (she is 9) plus clothes she has asked for. She is easier as loves make up and art so we can get her lots to pad out at a reasonable price.

We have bought them both tickets to see horrible histories next year.

Ds (11) could do with a few home. He goes to secondary school next year so I would like him to have one for when he goes. He is starting to get into his named fashion so will probably take him shopping and buy him some bits and pieces.

NoUnicornsToSeeHere · 15/11/2018 05:49

If they don’t want or need anything, how about tickets to a play or musical? I’ve just seen the Worst Witch is touring, for example.

implantsandaDyson · 15/11/2018 07:10

My 11 (just turned) year old:
Camera
Vans backpack (Marvel)
New phone cover, pop sockets etc
A floating globe thing
Hoody
Some clothes
Books
Money/iTunes voucher
Pop vinyl figures
Big cuddly sloth

She got a fitbit with her birthday money and she loves it with a passion. That and a Spotify subscription have been successes.

Saisong · 15/11/2018 08:18

My 11yo is getting:
Books, books, books
Binoculars
Badminton racquet
Jelly sweets experiment kit
Guitar tuner
iTunes voucher
Bath bombs
Slipper socks
Stainless steel water bottle
Decoupage stuff

8yo is getting:
Nintendo Switch game
Potato clock
More books
Illuminated magnifying glass
Illustrated atlas
Water bottle
Felt crafts

They also get a magazine subscription each and we have a family 'day out' gift - this year I'm thinking one of those Room Escape adventures.

amilosingitor · 15/11/2018 08:21

My DD will be 8 in December

She ha suggested the following:

Lol dolls
Scruff a luv
Poopsie unicorn slime surprise
Hatchimals
Crayola washimals

Rarfy · 15/11/2018 08:22

11 yo niece loves harry potter and bath bombs.

Got quite a lot of harry potter things from primark.

Also getting into make up so some bits from make up revolution which are decent but not overpriced.

She wanted to try doing tie dye so she has a tie dye kit and she likes minecraft so is getting a ps4 off her parents.
