Would you like this?

It's a fully grown birthday at the end of November.

Was thinking Yankee candle calendar.

Good idea?

Depends on contents of calendar. If it’s something I love I’d see it as stretching my birthday out longer in a good way.

If I was giving it as a gift I’d also include something that’s more instant gratification too, like a box of chocolates or bottle of wine.

I thought you meant the £1 chocolate onesBlush

If she likes Yankee then it would be a nice present- sure she will get other ones but a calendar would extend her birthday iyswim

Check the contents I was so disappointed with my Yankee one years ago, it only had 4 different types in.

I have asked for a L'occitane advent calendar for my birthday :)

stridesy · 14/11/2018 16:35

I did for my sil however her birthday was the 6th November. I normally do vouchers and will do that for Xmas. She's openly told us that she would rather have money and if someone brought her something she doesn't like she'd tell them! (Ironic seeing some of the gifts I've received!)

My birthday is at the beginning of December and I was given a L'Occitane one last year. I absolutely loved it and it felt like an extension of my birthday every day. Who wouldn't want that?

I have had a posh advent calendar as a birthday pressie and I loved it

avocadoincident · 14/11/2018 19:02

Or you could put one together for her although this could end up pricey depending on what you put in it

umbrellaellaella · 14/11/2018 20:15

Yes, I received an advent calendar for my birthday actually.

ja9r · 14/11/2018 20:17

Yes I'd love it. My mums birthday is 1 Dec and I've bought her a beauty one.

Wish my bday was 1 Dec and that someone would buy me a gin one ...!

PinkBuffalo · 14/11/2018 20:45

I always get my sister the Lindt advent calendar as one of her bday presents. She usually seems pleased with it. I've got her the £10 one with the bear this year as we've had the worst year ever. I'm hoping she will like it in addition to her other presents. It's become a bit of a tradition.

ILoveAutum · 15/11/2018 10:23

If it was something I liked, I’d like that. (Hate Yankee candles, but I’m not your friend!).

I’m impossible to buy for though. I was going to buy myself one this year as I could do with a bit of daily cheer! I LOVE surprises, so I thought a wee one each day would be nice. But I can’t actually find one I’d like (don’t want chocolate/food/alcohol/beauty/nails...)

I got my friend a l'occitane advent calendar for her 50th birthday December 7th.

I think/hope she'll like it. I know I would.
