Has anybody tried it? I saw M&S were selling it for £6. Just wondering if anybody has tried it and if you thought it was any good?

Are you meant to 'get it', or are you meant to just enjoy it (if it's your thing)?! Xmas Grin

Bailey's isn't chocolatey!!

Funkyslippers · 05/12/2018 11:45

Irish cream, I mean

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 05/12/2018 11:50

It is to me Confused

I finished my bottle of the M&S mince pie liqueur on Monday night. Blush

I wonder if I can justify another trip to M&S, so I can get another one?

Vitalogy · 05/12/2018 15:08

Of course my mince pie and yule log didn't stay unopened until Christmas. My review is, the were ok, I wouldn't get them again. Glad I tried them though. My favourite is still classic Bailey's or their orange truffle.

LBOCS2 · 05/12/2018 16:30

@SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius my mince pie liqueur lasted me two evenings. At 12% it was like drinking a bottle extremely calorific wine Blush

As these are now full price, we're going to sample the Aldi £3.79 Irish cream. I shall report back!

PoesyCherish · 06/12/2018 09:16

@NoWordForFluffy that cheap Aldi one is actually pretty good. It is a lot runnier than some of the other ones but tastes good nonetheless.

Can I ask -has anyone tried the Aldi Eggnog flavoured thing? It's 12 per cent. I'd tried the Aldi pretend Baileys a few years back and wasn't overly impressed. But I used to love eggnog as a thing we had in the States years ago..

Vitalogy · 06/12/2018 15:36

outreach29 I've not tried the Aldi eggnog, but the M&S one wasn't up to much. I wish they sold eggnog in the supermarkets like in the States too. Trust me I've hunted high and low for it. Ocado sell some additive laden stuff, yuk, so I didn't even bother with that.
I ended up making my own last year from this Sainsbury's recipe:

Poesy, we liked it well enough! Aldi mock-Baileys FTW! Xmas Grin

MilkyCuppa · 06/12/2018 18:40

The M&S liqueurs were delicious! Sadly they’ve now gone back to full price and are more expensive than Baileys so I won’t be getting any more. Sad

DishingOutDone · 20/12/2018 00:55

Bloody 1am in the morning why did I click on this now I want a mince pie!!

ADropofReality · 20/12/2018 01:07

Once upon a time M&S did chocolate port. Knowing I like chocolate and port a friend brought me a bottle; 9/10 of it ended down the sink; it was revolting. Two nice things put together may not be nice.

Mrsfussypants1 · 20/12/2018 11:08

Anyone tried M&S chocolat and coconut liqueur? It's on special for £6 so I've bought a bottle for a gift so not tried it, but tempted to buy some more.

NoWordForFluffy · 21/12/2018 13:58

It's half price again, go go go!

I thought I was buying the Yule log one but it's chocolate and coconut. I'm sure it's fine!

NoWordForFluffy · 05/11/2019 17:30

This is back again this year. It's currently £8 a bottle rather than the full price £10. I wonder if it'll go down to £6 later?
