What can I get family as a small token gift?

So originally we weren't going to be doing any presents this year for anyone apart from 2x dcs as we are in a fair bit of financial difficulty this year. However, DH thinks that we should give a small token gift to main family from the children. This would be 2x grandparents and 4x of our siblings.

However I'm totally stuck for ideas! Really wouldn't want to spend more than £5 each, as that would be a stretch as it is. Would consider a joint gift for the grandparents.

Please help me! What can I get from the toddlers?

(Note: we got them all personalised Christmas decorations for the tree last year so ideally don't want to do that again)

Photo desk calendars from vistaprint are about that

Nice tin of biscuits per family. M&S have some offers on

Stompythedinosaur · 12/11/2018 15:37

Tin of biscuits.
Box of chocs.
Photo of dc.

Honestly, if money is tight I would get the dc to draw them a picture.

How are your baking skills? Or homemade truffles nicely wrapped could be good. If you aren't able to spend, I think taking the time to make something delicious is a nice gesture

I've just been to TK Maxx today and they had lots
of things that would be nice for a token gift of £5.

Candles
Photo frames
Kitchenware like jugs, serving plates, mugs, sink tidies, tea-towels - either Christmas themed or not
Soaps
Socks
They had some lovely jewellery for around £5 too

All things I would love to receive myself.

Also, if you have a Home Bargains near you, they have a great range of toiletries sets which would fit your budget.

Thank you for your suggestions, funnily enough I hadn't even thought of a photo frame! That would be perfect for the grandparents.
I'll take a look at some of the other ideas for our siblings, unfortunately they're still a bit young and carefree to appreciate a photo in a frame I think.

Thank you so much

Maube the youngsters would like a digital photo frame that they can play slideshows on

There's a paint your own picture frame on Hobbycraft for £1.75, you could get the DC to paint it and include a nice family picture for the GPs www.hobbycraft.co.uk/paint-your-own-ceramic-frame-set-12cm-x-14cm/579367-1000?query=paint-photo-frame

What's the age range of the siblings?

BalconyDoor · 13/11/2018 15:43

Gruffalo that sounds lovely actually and there's one local to me so I will go and have a look.
The age ranges are 20-26 so not young young, but all are single, childfree live at home types

There were also trinket boxes to paint on Hobbycraft website if you want to do a similar theme, or there's the Green & Blacks tasting chocs lots of people are talking about for £5.50 or Magpie have a few bargains left which might be suitable www.magpieline.com/shop/outlet

To be honest if money is tight I'd suggest no gifts to and from siblings and just get a little token present for GPs

BertramKibbler · 14/11/2018 07:51

I’d give food, token gifts often end up being a bit meh. Everyone likes food

hidinginthenightgarden · 14/11/2018 09:25

What about the green and blacks tasting selection? Currently on offer for £5.50 at Tesco if you can get it.
