Christ no, I’ve had mine at least 6 years!

We got ours 5 years ago, it was definitely about 5 years ago they exploded in popularity but it's been a "meme" for probably 7-8? If you're cool... (though the point obviously is to be expressly uncool.)

I don't think we've bothered to get DS1 one since though. Poor neglected child.

My dcs have the following-

Ds age 11 has a jumper aged 7-8
Dd age 16 has one age,

Bought new ones this week from next in current sizing which they'll wear one day at school in Dec plus at a few Christmas family parties. I bought my first one this year as well

I buy my DS a new one every year as I just can't help myself. I love them and it makes me feel really festive. I get him a long sleeve t shirt instead of a jumper as he would be a hot, raging monster in a wool jumper at school or indoors at home!
I got mine in the Boden sale a few years ago (it's actually quite tasteful with silver sparkly snowflakes) and I just wear the same one every Christmas.

I think my daughter got four years out of hers and my son is on his second year of the same jumper.

TheBigBangRocks · 17/11/2018 09:34

For me, no. I add something every year but reuse it all every holiday run up.

If there's a dress up event at school I buy jumpers and then they can use them in the year for painting in etc. Don't tend to buy big as mine look daft in huge clothes.

Mine like general wintery jumpers with eg a large glittery star or a cute penguin, so I don't bother with special Christmas jumpers - I hate throwaway fashion. I have Christmas earrings and necklaces that have lasted years and go well with a sparkly winter jumper.

Someone bought my DH this as a present: horribly tasteless happy birthday jesus jumper
We’ve owned for several years without DH or either of our grown up sons being remotely tempted to wear it.

In the event that a Christmas jumper was required of me I would wear a hush cotton jumper with stars on or a Nordic jumper both of which I have in my regular clothes. I never wear anything that isn’t natural fibres so doubt I could find anything else.
