If I want a Turkey for 9th December....

for early family Xmas meal, am I safe to go ro Sainsbury's etc and get one off the shelf? They only seem to take orders for the couple of days before Xmas itself. I know I could get a frozen one but defrosting is such a faff. Not many other independent butchers round here either....

Sorry, just twigged that you don't want frozen. I'm pretty sure I've seen fresh ones already in Waitrose.

Go out on the 8th and try and get a fresh one from Aldi, if there's no fresh one then get a frozen and defrost in a bucket on the side overnight!

Don't they flog fresh ones for thanksgiving? You could grab one at that date maybe and hopefully the bb will work out
