Isabella Oliver dress or voucher- weird?

My DS is pregnant, due May.

I was thinking of getting her a dress from Isabella Oliver or perhaps a voucher. Is that a weird present? She is skint so I thought a decent black dress would be really useful and she could wear it for work with non-maternity jacket/cardie or something. But buying maternity things for someone else seems a bit personal. WDYT?

Oh God, DS is son, isn’t it? Sister!

No, I would have LOVED an Isabella Oliver voucher when I was pregnant. Assuming DS is your sister (and not your son!) I don't think it would be weird or too personal at all, you sound like a lovely sister Smile

I would probably give her a voucher for somewhere cheaper so she can buy more bits e.g. Jojo always have discounted maternity wear online. I was in a much better position financially with my second pregnancy so could afford some IO stuff, but while I would have been thrilled to recieve such a generous gift while I was pregnant the first time I would have been wondering how much stuff I could buy with the money.

You sound like a lovely sister Smile

I think that would be lovely. Currently pregnant and got all maternity items from ASOS, boohoo and eBay because I couldn't justify spending much on myself for a few short months. A nice dress from Isabella Oliver would have been a perfect gift and made me feel so much better than my current terrible wardrobe Grin
