I don't if this a thing with everyone else, but we always goes to cinema in the christmas holidays as everyone is free and its a simple indoor activity but theres no Star Wars this year. I've looked at whats releasing next month and I'm spoilt for choice! (Mary Poppins, Aquaman, Bumblebee, Spider-Man etc.)

New Spider-Man at Christmas ?

I don't think so. 🤔

Next in that run are Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 early next year THEN the new Spider-Man

I think the obvious family hit is Mary Poppins and I really hope it isn't shit

Friends little nephew won't stop asking to see The Grinch and it's not even out yet so I imagine it'll be popular

Ricekrispie22 · 09/11/2018 06:05

There's a new Disney Nutcracker with Keira Knightly but I'm a bit sceptical.

Tobebythesea · 09/11/2018 06:14

Mary Poppin returns.

Mailfuckoff · 09/11/2018 06:18

We've seen the nutcracker, a hit with me and 2 x 9 year old ds
We will see the grinch and Mary Poppins

Winterfellismyhome · 09/11/2018 06:24

@Pawnee the new spiderman is cgi and isnt linked to the current Marvel timeline

StoorieHoose · 09/11/2018 06:29

Mary poppies! Can’t wait

KingPrawnOkay · 09/11/2018 06:41

Wreck It Ralph 2 comes out Nov/Dec - super excited!

SixToEightInchesOfSnow · 09/11/2018 07:21

The new Fantastic Beasts film. DS has an irrational fear of the Grinch ( he’s 9 not little 😂) so we won’t be seeing that.

megletthesecond · 09/11/2018 07:26

Bumblebee.

runwithme · 09/11/2018 08:23

Mary Poppins here too! Loved the original, so really hoping this ones is good.

BiddyPop · 09/11/2018 10:50

I think it will be the new JK Rowling one for us, as DD will be 13. Nothing else jumps out this year....most disappointing

TheWoollybacksWife · 09/11/2018 10:54

Probably Aquaman if we are all going - we will be going to see the new Fantastic Beasts film but most likely without DH as it's not his thing.

snowmanshoes · 09/11/2018 11:09

The Nutcracker and the 4 realms next weekend (hope its good) and Mary Poppins in between Christmas and New Year more than likely

WaxOnFeckOff · 09/11/2018 11:27

We do it every year too but DSs are now 18 and 17. Last few years have been Star wars or the Hobbit. No idea what our options are this year but it's not looking hopeful.

Oblomov18 · 09/11/2018 11:36

Can't say any appeal so far!

Kit10 · 09/11/2018 13:29

Fantastic Beasts, I'm assuming this will still be showing!

MouseRatFan · 09/11/2018 13:33

Mary Poppins - we are all very excited!

PoesyCherish · 09/11/2018 14:11

So many good ones out which we will try to see over the coming two months - Fantastic Beasts, Bumblebee, Nutcracker, Wreck it Ralph 2. I'm so excited Grin

HalloToJasonIsaacs · 09/11/2018 15:13

Fantastic Beasts and Wreck-it Ralph definitely. DS loves Transformers but hates Michael Bay so Bumblebee is a long awaited dream come true. I’d be up for Mary Poppins but the DC have never sat through the whole film so I think that’ll be a no Sad (awaits expulsion from the Church of Wittertainment). The Grinch depends on the reviews.

Tbh nothing at the cinema has me as excited as the nail biting wait for Good Omens.

BiddyPop · 09/11/2018 15:21

Good Omens....as in, a Terry Pratchett on the big screen? Have I understood that right?

PawneeParksDept · 09/11/2018 16:08

@HalloToJasonIsaacs

To be honest the Church will probably issue a fatwah on it if it any way tarnished the original or is sub par. Dr K will probably keel over at the affront

Tinkity Tonk Old Fruit And see you in the pews.

PawneeParksDept · 09/11/2018 16:09

@BiddyPop

Good Omens is coming exclusive to Prime and starring David Tennant, John Hamm and Michael Sheen.

Just!
Can’t!
Wait!

HalloToJasonIsaacs · 09/11/2018 16:21

Not quite exclusive to Amazon thank heavens: it’s a BBC co-production so will be shown on BBC1 slightly later in the year. But I need a date goddammit!

BiddyPop · 09/11/2018 16:23

Rubs hands with glee - must keep off Prime until Christmas to have something to enjoy.....
