So my dd is 11 and wants an iPad they are just so expensive! Any tips on how to get them cheaper? I have seen refurbished ones online do you think they would be ok? I think they come with a year guarantee.

Also how much memory would we need to be able to download films etc?

And I know there are so many models what models are best?

Hey, I've been looking at iPad's all morning and like you said the refurbished ones are cheaper and you get a years warranty which is pretty good. amzn.to/2REQTUw this one on amazon seems cheap for an iPad and it's got great reviews.

That iPad 2 is 7 years old. It wouldn't even take iOS 12. Waste of money.

I had one from Music Magpie, it's second hand refurb but in excellent condition. As good as new.
They have 12m warranty and £10 or £20 off all iPads at the min, you could get an iPad mini 2 for £150 in good condition. It's a great site to compare lots of options for different budgets.

Thank you for the replies!

What model / generation do o need to go for to make sure it's not too old for the updates and latest things etc?

I have bought stuff from Music Magpie and it would be my go to place for buying and selling, it also has good reviews and as GVmama says, it is a great site

If you want to download films don't go for a 16gb, you will want a minimum of 32gb, the price does increase quite a bit the more gb you have though. I have a 128gb one and have never used near that amount even with box sets and films downloaded on it, so best would be 32 or 64 gb for space and cost, 32 should be fine though.
