So far she has...
Books
Smart watch
Stationery
Jacket
Fimo
Rubix cube

She’ll also get a board game, earrings, penguin bedding, sweets and chocolate, extra controller for Nintendo switch, cuddly penguin. Any more ideas?

Metal Detector. Read the reviews for the cheaper models and some are excellent.

I have 2 dd’s that are not very girly, I always struggle. Dd1 is getting a switch. I am looking for ideas for smaller gifts, so far I have got her a pencil case (in the shape of a Pringle tube) and a couple Pokemon lush toys. She still has stationary from last Christmas that hasn’t been used. I’m thinking about getting her a box of Japanese sweets from Amazon. I usually buy them a Lego set each but dd1 doesn’t want one this year.

No real hobbies right now- used to look after a pony but it got sold and £20 a week for lessons is too much atm. Does netball and table tennis, likes swimming but no kit needed! Likes photography but has a good camera already. Wants to start piano lessons but keeps forgetting to ask the teacher for details so hasn’t yet! Likes art. Not into music/ makeup/ clothes much yet. Likes penguins.

Penguin zookeeper/feeding experience? Lots of bird sanctuaries do them as well as the big zoos and wildlife parks

converseandjeans · 09/11/2018 07:51

That's loads already! Why not just put some cash in a card? They love getting cash.

OhFlipMama · 09/11/2018 07:54

How about a new alarm clock? A nice one I mean - if she has a phone then a docking one?

OhFlipMama · 09/11/2018 07:55

But I agree it's probably enough already!

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 09/11/2018 08:21

Cash wouldn’t work. She’d probably use it to buy toys/ treats for her 5 and 6 yo brothers as she likes to spoil them!

Oh, she asked for a jar filled with bits of paper with suggestions for things to do as a family too (cinema, day out etc) that she picks one a month from after seeing it on Money Saving Expert Christmas Special so I’ll do that for her. Would still like a couple more things just for her though, rather than a family present in her name!
