Ideas for a guy who doesn't want stuff

Addict in denial. Can't give money
Don't want stuff... they sell it or lose it

What can I give them for Xmas??
(Without it being massively obvious that I've thought it over eg Tesco voucher probably be seen as a bit of a dig)

Take them for a meal out around christmas or day trip to local city or concert (e ticket so can't be lost)

Nothing?

Chocolates, toiletries, a book, CD, DVD, food hamper, item of clothing?

A subscription to something, a magazine if he reads any?

Siubscription is a great idea

Any items will be lost or sold

Doubt I'll see them long enough for being able to treat them to a meal
