They are fussy buggers!! Just been to Turkey so they are all stocked up on fake designer undies. We got some deals on perfume/aftershave and as has loads from last year. Did only really likes urban decay or benefit make up (she saves up for it) which I can't afford as stocking fillers!!! She does love Primark tat fortunately! Think we've done all the joke presents etc every year. They will get sweets, toiletries, socks - any other ideas?!! Thank you!!

What about a Groupon voucher for a facial / manicure etc?

sixnearlyseven · 05/11/2018 08:08

Elle magazine ( 4 quid) is doing travel size benefit hoola bronzer or contour stick free

OnlyToWin · 05/11/2018 08:10

I found a selfie light for my two in Superdrug. It was only about £4 and I think they will really like it.

OnlyToWin · 05/11/2018 08:11

Also got them heatproof travel mugs which they will use.

Almostthere15 · 05/11/2018 09:56

It doesn't fill much space but a coffee voucher, maybe in a reusable cup.

For dd real techniques brushes are good and often on sale at Amazon.

Would either of then appreciate American sweets, b and m bargains had lots. Lidl have good hot choc spoons.

BangingOn · 05/11/2018 09:59

Things that have gone down well with teenaged DSS in the past:

  • Phone Rescue bag (to dry it out in case he ever drops it in water)
  • Selfie lights
  • Fish eye lens for his phone
  • Various charging cables, extra long, light-up etc
  • American or Japanese sweets, ideally with funny names
  • Stay Cool ice towel for the gym
  • Bluetooth headphones
  • Miracle Berry tablets that turn sour things to sweet
  • Jar of Nutella

My mum put a kaleidoscope in my stocking a couple of years ago (I'm definitely too old for stockings). I loved them when I was little and was VERY pleased with it.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/11/2018 21:10

Benefit are doing tiny stocking filler minis for around a tenner, if any use - or Boots have Benefit minis on 3 for £25.

Maybe things for school/college - pens / funky post-its / highlighters?

We put things like a can of Coke or a bottle of beer/mini of gin into stockings (only for older teens of course!)

Yes to Nutella / also things like beef jerky, chutney, pickles, hot sauce, syrups for coffee, herbal tea bags, nice coffee, whatever edible non sweeties thing might rock their boat!

Azera341 · 05/11/2018 21:23

Mine aren't quite teens yet at 10 and 11 but in their stocking they have bath bombs, a new purse, a phone case, pop socket, silly socks, new mug, fancy pop tarts, a bottle of schnapple, memory card for phone, lip balm, choc coins, jelly sweets.

jocktamsonsbairn · 06/11/2018 07:59

Thank you! Some good ideas there! I'll go and get Elle today as she does live benefit!!

Benefit are doing cake tin sets - the small purple one is £14.50 & you get 3x minis. Cheaper than the 3 for £25 deal & it's the same stuff.

DD17 is getting: Charm for her bracelet, wax bar for her scentsy warmer, bath bomb, underwear, Starbucks gift card

DD18 is getting: Minnie Mouse tat from Primark, underwear, bath bomb, Costa gift card

Toebeans · 06/11/2018 08:14

Jumping on here for ideas, my two I struggle for too.

junebirthdaygirl · 06/11/2018 08:15

Lidl or Aldi have those hand warmers this week you pop in microwave. Useful if they stand on sidelines or wait for a bus.
My dd always likes a noteboook and TKMaxx are good.

slappinthebass · 06/11/2018 08:28

Thanks, Whisky. I'll have a look at the cake tin sets.

AllDriedOut · 06/11/2018 17:45

Wallet ninja type tool

CartwheelCath · 06/11/2018 17:52

Costa gift card - I'm upgrading to a tenner this year bit even a fiver will buy them a coffee and go towards a cake or another coffee.
Novelty mug and hit choc sachets
Mine get stuff like a nicer posher shampoo than usual and stuff like make up wipes, hair brush, Primark false nails, false lashes, Primark earrings, Primark gloves.
Both mine are still studying so over the year i pick up novelty ppst it notes, pens, planners and stationery.
Soap and glory wellies are usually on 3 for 2 so maybe something lime that.

CartwheelCath · 06/11/2018 17:53

CartwheelCath · 06/11/2018 17:54

I've also just bought colour changing umbrellas for a tenner on Amazon.

Toebeans · 06/11/2018 20:16

Aliexpress for Kawaii stationery - it’s pennies and really cute perfect for stockings

Massive list here on this great thread from last year]]

Touchscreen gloves (recommended on here!) were a big hit in last year's stocking - in fact dd commented on how useful they were just recently when they came out again.
