Has anyone had a Kelly Bronze Turkey at Xmas?

Thinking about ordering one this year - They are expensive, around £90 for a 6kg - anyone had one before. Are they that much better and tastier? - Apparantly they cook in around half the time than that of a factory reared white turkey as well without even having to baste it.....

Yes, they’re delicious :)

Yes, a few times - they are lovely and do cook in a shorter time. I was a bit suspicious about the cooking time and used a meat thermometer to check it hit the right temp which it did.

Yes, we had one last year. Followed the cooking method they recommended and it was fantastic. We're going to have one again this year.

I've been looking at these too. Did anyone leave it to rest longer than the recommended 30 mins? Trying to figure out oven space to see if I can get everything ready by 30 mins after the turkey comes out!

I think it’ll fine resting for at least an hour giving you time to do the roasties etc

I always rest for at least an hour.

I always have a Kelly Bronze. They cook very quickly and taste great. Ours always come with a thermometer to test the temp. I let mine rest for ages. I need the oven space to do the rest of the dinner. It has never been an issue.

Great, thanks everyone.
