Just that really - struggling a bit. She is at that stage when she has outgrown Lego Friends but still quite 'young'. She does play with Lego Friends/Barbie stuff but much less now. She got loads of craft sets last year and some are still untouched so won't get anymore this year.

Her birthday is also the week before Christmas so will probably get her either roller blades or a riding helmet.

She has asked for things from Gap/H&M. I have already got the following:

Narnia bookset
Harry Potter illustrated book
Smiggle jewellery box + bracelet/necklace
Smiggle gel pens
Hair bobbles
Duvet set
Rubik's cube

I thought about a really nice bath towel. She is complaining that the poncho one she has is too babyish (true enough!)

Thanks for any ideas.

My younges is 16 so way out of touch with toys etc but all my girls loved blankets and cushions and still do.

parrotonmyshoulder · 03/11/2018 20:37

Mine is the same age, but still playing with dolls house, Sylvanians, Our Generation dolls and many soft animals.

I cannot/ will not fit any more stationery in the house.

She quite likes clothes but enjoys choosing her own.

Watching your thread for ideas and will add any when I think of them.

maybe a CD player for her room, and possibly some fairy lights and cushions, so she can relax and listen to music/read?

has she got the goodnight stories for rebel girls books - theyre good for almost any age I think

A new riding hat and cover with ridiculous fluffy Pom Pom Grin
New chaps
New saddle cloth
XC stuff
A Fitbit
LOL’s
A poor mans GoPro Grinand harness for hex wear while riding.
Fluffy unicorn slipper, onesie and dressing gown.
A wireless speaker for her bedroom
A gun (shared with sister for tetrathalon
Neon rainbow wall light for her bedroom
Lip gloss/clear mascara/clear nail varnish (a bit of a compromise to be like her big sister)
Lush Bath bombs
David Walliams books

Hope that gives you a few suggestions!! Smile

Theonewiththecat · 03/11/2018 21:49

Wilhelminawonka · 03/11/2018 22:01

I love you guys. Tried the eBay code which didn't work for me, but realised that I had a £10 eBay voucher waiting patiently to be used.
So Harry Potter trivial pursuit was 35p Shock

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 03/11/2018 22:08

If she likes HP, Primark have fleece blankets, cushions etc.

If she has a tablet, maybe a Bluetooth speaker.

The new Harry Potter Lego sets are very good. Brickheadz sets make good smaller sets.

Lush sets - bath bombs etc.

Karaoke machine

Science type set.

Jewellery making kits (friendship bracelets etc) - but that might be the kind of craft set you have from last year.

EmGee · 04/11/2018 12:32

Thanks for these lists! I wonder about the HP Brickheadz. She has got years of HP ahead of her...!

I found some nice looking towels on the Zara website. Also very sweet blankets so that will be two nice big presents.

Think I will take her round her favourite clothes shops and make a mental note of things she likes.

DailyMailDontStealMyThread · 04/11/2018 12:39

Can I have a link for the blankets please?

EmGee · 04/11/2018 22:13

Sorry can't link as on phone but if you go on to the Zara home website and search for Children's, then bedroom then blankets/covers that should bring them up. Quite pricey so will probably shop around first. The Zara ones do look nice quality though! I will link when I'm on my laptop tomorrow.
