Hi

Looking for ideas for my dc! I was thinking of a Garmin for my almost 7 year old? Does anyone have one? He loves the FitBit but he's not getting one of those!! Also struggling for 10 year old dd, would a Garmin be suitable for her? Or better for younger kids?

dS1 had one last year (year 6) and it was nicked at school within the month. So they're clearly desirable Hmm

Oh no user that's terrible!! Your poor ds.

Someone mentioned another name on here that has really good reviews on Amazon. I can’t remember the make Confused but I think they were under £30. That’s more what I was looking for in case of loss or theft!

I got 1 for both of my boys. One still wears his and loves telling me how many steps he has done at school.
My other quickly grew bored of it and stopped wearing it.

Also the sleep tracker isn't very accurate. It counts lying down as sleeping even with some movement.

DS2 has one and it's not very accurate and the strap has split.

Ive just ordered him a Fitbit ace for his birthday.

I have a vivofit, and Dd2 a wants one, she's 10. Seriously considering one, because I know from mine it's reliable. Mines 6 months old, and I chose it because it was waterproof (tested in the sea while on holiday by accident)

My now 10yr old got one last Christmas and loves it. Wears it everyday. Not as accurate as my GPS garmin at counting steps but fairly good. Their product support has been very good too.
My now 12 yr old can't be bothered with his one.

Which one did your child get? I'm looking at the jr2 models, and none of them really would appeal to Dd2. She isn't into Disney, Minnie mouse or Star Wars, and the marvel /Captain America are appear boy centric...

We got the jr2 but have boys and both into starwars
