When to make christmas cake?

I'm pretty sure that I usually do it in half term. But this year has been horrendous and I've sort of lost track of time and have little interest in christmas at all.
When is the last point I can make it do you think?

I've usually done mine by now but I need new scales and they've not arrived yet so it will be sometime next week. Mum used to make hers around the last weekend in November. The earlier you make it the darker and boozier it will be.
