Hi, I really am completely lost at what to buy DD this year. We have decided for her main present a TV for her room and she has friends over sometimes and loves netflix so its ideal really. Not sure what else though, I'm normally very organised and have got her lots of stocking fillers but this year I don't have a clue what to buy apart from books, makeup etc which she has loads of.

What are you buying your 12 yr old?

DD is a similar age and we are stuck a bit as well.

Ideas which came along so far

Tickets for a show - but these are family presents as they are equally for DH and I

Zoo experience

Fitbit or similar watch

Books

Little book of earrings to store her collection

Stuff for her room, it will be done properly now st Spring but we will most likely get her a bedside lamp, light box, cushion

How about s first light perfume? Dd got one for her last birthday and was very proud.

If she has lots of make up, has she a good makeup suitcase to store it?

Wall and Desk calendar

Shamelessly copying ideas others may hopefully provide

I have got my 11 year old a hair curling wand, a mirror with lights round it, a "grow your own chocolate scented plant", a Harry Potter cape towel, a disco light bulb, a couple of board games, Ariana Grande perfume, posh chocs from Hotel chocolat, a giant knit throw, Harry Potter audio books, Harry Potter cook book, power bank, extra long charging cable, wash out hair colour and other hair stuff like 'braid milk', a giant space hopper, Chilly's water bottle, slime kit...hope some of those ideas might be of use. We're pretty much done for the stocking fillers but have no ideas at all for a main present.

She is 13 in January so was going to get her concert tickets for then. Perfume is a good idea. I've also put down a lady shave, I bought one from Argos around £20 and its great and no nipping so I've put that down on the list for her. She loves Soap & Glory so thats also on the list.

DS seems to have more toys but he is only 5 and I suppose the older they get the more expensive things are. I've also got her a sports voucher so she can get whatever she likes.

I second the suggestion of something to do up her room - new bedding/accessories/throw for her bed/beanbag chair etc

I think she's at the age where you have to bluntly point out (in advance) that the things they want are more expensive so they won't be getting the pile of toys that they did when they were younger (if they did). Particularly relevant as she has a much younger sibling so the difference might be very obvious.

I have a 12 year old DD - as well as some of the ideas already on here we're getting bath bombs as stocking fillers as she loves them. She's also recently discovered Starbucks, so think we might get a gift card. She had an iTunes giftcard last year, which also went down well.
oh - also getting more headphones - it seems impossible to have too many!!

Some fab ideas on here, thanks so much. I will put some ideas on here when I think of some more. I'm currently making her an advent calendar so thats more things to thing about Confused.
