Help me find this Christmas Film

Possibly a good 10 years I have been trying to find a film I watched as a kid and would love to watch with my own children and every Christmas I’m determined this will be the year that I find it!!!

Group of under privileged kids find a deer in central New York, and hide it between them, there is a coke tap (not sure why that sticks out, other than a 12/13 year kid in the early 90’s I thought it was pretty cool!!)

Usual story, it’s a race to conceal and get said reindeer back to Santa by Christmas Eve!

It’s NOT Prancer 2 as has been suggested many times...

I don’t remember much else about it other than the coke tap and I fucking loved it!!!

I can remember a film with a reindeer being kept hidden on a roof in New York - is that your film or Prancer 2?

Google is not helping much...

I don’t remember a roof. (they did get said reindeer to a wood to reunite with the rest of his deer folk and Santa....)

I just remember lots of kids in flares, tight T-shirts and being totally envious they had the parental space to snuggle a deer into their apartment all day when my curfew was 8pm and my mum still spat onto a tissue to get the last of the tomato soup of my mouth!!!

I’m waaay over invested in this question. I’ve discovered that Coca Cola owned Columbia Pictures and have trawled through lists of made-for-tv/direct-to-video movies are you sure it’s not Prancer 2 but no joy.
Do you remember any other details?

Yeahhh, it can plague your Christmas as much as my own!!

No definitely not Prancer two but so wish it was and my search would be over!!...I’m beginning to think I dreamt it!!!

I do have a thing for 80’ TV Christmas films though so perhaps I just have a movie marathon and try and get through them all!!

Also, I read somewhere (can’t remember where) that research has shown that we often remember feel good films as Christmas films, even when they’re not... or something along those lines. Any chance you’ve got the Coke tap film muddled up with another one, maybe Prancer 2?!

I know u said its not prancer 2 but i found a prancer made 1989 a young girl takes in a injured reindeer and thinks its one of santas. Its on sky movies xmas x

Thanks OP, I'm now also obsessed with this film too. I was beside myself with excitement when I saw there were new posts! I may work through all the reindeer films in the run up to Christmas.
